How hiring works

Four steps, and a straight answer at the end.

We keep a modest careers page open whether or not a role is advertised. If nothing is listed, write to us anyway — we hire when we meet the right person, not only when a vacancy exists.

  1. Send us something

    A CV is fine. A note about the work you want to be doing is better. Speculative applications are genuinely read.

  2. A conversation

    Half an hour with the person you would actually work with. We will tell you honestly whether there is a fit.

  3. A technical exchange

    Not a trick test. A real problem, discussed the way we would discuss it with a client.

  4. A decision, quickly

    You will hear either way within a week. We have all been left hanging and it is not on.
